place at Chapra I also searched the books and literatures of Bhikhari Thakur,
but in vain. I heartly respect Bhikhari Thakur. Once again thank you Kalpana

Like any fan, I am delighted to have a post on my fb wall by an artiste that I really enjoy listening to.
Having been brought up listening to folk songs of Bihar by the likes of Bindhyavasini Devi, I am exposed to the best traditions of bhojpuri music. And I must say, after Sharda Sinha, you have really kept upto that tradition. I should share some of the things that I really like about your renditions:
1. Though being from Assam, you have understood the soul of bhojpuri music as few others. Incidentally, I have equally enjoyed your few Assamese songs that I have heard, Hastir Koena for example.
2. You dont just sing, you get into the song with a lot of feeling. The 'bhav' of the song comes in your facial expressions and action also.
3. I really appreciate the way you have grown as an artiste, say from Arrah Hile rendition where you danced with bhojpuri actor Rinku to say your rendition of Bhikhari Thakur's self portrait.
I do hope we will continue to enjoy your beautiful bhojpuri songs in days to come.
